ÜLEMISTE ELDER Lake Ülemiste sits quite close to the town of Tallinn. People say that in the lake lives the Ülemiste Elder (Ülemiste vanake). He is angry at the townsfolk. If told that Tallinn is complete, he will flood the entire city. Dialogue in the film: The Elder and a medieval town guard: Is the town ready yet? – No, not yet! The Elder and a more modern guard: Is the town ready yet? – No, not yet! The Elder and a contemporary child: Is the town ready yet? – Yes, it’s too big! The Elder floods the city. The child awakens from sleep – they had dreamed of the Elder flooding the city. The child runs to the lake: Tallinn is not ready yet!!!
